Experienced, Well-Trained Care Staff
South Moor Lodge is led by its experienced Manager, Tim Yates, who is in charge of a qualified team of Carers and Domestic staff, all of whom are dedicated to carrying out their duties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Tim qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1989 and is experienced in the management of both residential and nursing care homes. Tim strives to ensure that all of South Moor Lodge’s residents are treated with the utmost respect and dignity, and that residents have every opportunity to live full and active lives, as well as making their own choices. Tim acquired his Level 5 Diploma in Social Care Management in 2015.
We regularly invest in training our staff and actively encourage and support NVQ qualifications in health and social care, in order to develop them. We don't just aim to achieve the training requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we aim to exceed them.
Varied Ongoing In-House Specialist Training
In addition to our encouragement of continued education, our Care & Training Manager provides all staff with extensive in-house induction training, regular mandatory training, and additional specialist training in many areas. We believe training is fundamental to improving the care provided to all residents.
We are very proud of the long length of service of many of our staff, and this helps us to provide a stable and caring environment for our residents. Our staff also work to provide an extensive and innovative activities programme to encourage residents to get the most possible enjoyment from their time with us.
